I’m a cartoonist living in Portland Oregon. I recently finished a graphic novel called The Chairs’ Hiatus which you can read for free.

Come back when you can and I’ll try and make it worth it.

    “…yeah.” - a stereoscopic comic

“…yeah.” is a series of extremely short 3D comics that were designed to be viewed in old wooden turn of the century stereoscopes like the one in this video I made:

    watch the video in HD

I’d never really worked with 3D before this, and I didn’t have any real guide as to how it could be done. I just had a box of old stereo photographs that I’d found in my grandmas basement and used them to try to figure out how both stereoscopes and 3D in general work.

The stories originally debuted as part of a solo show I did in Couch gallery in Portland Oregon. I’m really proud of how it turned out. It’s taken me quite a long time to convert the images from something you view in an art gallery with a turn of the century wooden viewer in front of your face to something that people can enjoy online, but I think it was worth it.

    "...yeah." at Couch Gallery

Now you can read the comic online in 3D without using a stereoscope or glasses of any kind, just your eyeballs and a willingness to be cross-eyed for a bit. It’s best to read the instructions first, but after that, you can

    read the comic here.

(also I wrote a post about how to make stereoscopic illustrations here)
