I’m a cartoonist living in Portland Oregon. I recently finished a graphic novel called The Chairs’ Hiatus which you can read for free.

Come back when you can and I’ll try and make it worth it.

I saw floating things today and made this video out of them.

The story that my dad would tell me was that Harry Anderson started out as a confidence man doing the “three card monty” and the “shell game” on the street till someone got pissed at having lost so much money and broke his nose. Anderson then decided that magic was a safer profession.
Wikipedia doesn’t confirm or deny this, but it’s what I’ve always heard.

Either way, out of all the tapes in my dads magic video collection growing up, Harry Andersons “Hello Sucker” might have been my favorite. I wish the whole thing were online for me to share with you. It’s been out of print for years, and the other YouTube clips of him performing magic, while good, aren’t the same.

    Other trivia:

    • This was originally a Showtime special
    • The full special features John Larroquette
    • It was directed by the same person who directed the music video for Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen.
